Brady - Flat Stanley Visits Florida!

Hi Brady!

Thank you so much for letting us borrow Flat Stanley!  We had so much fun taking him to different places.

I hope he enjoys summer with you in Maine!

These birds are called Sandhill Cranes.  They are sort of hard to see but they are really tall and reminded us of an ostrich.  This was in Wimauma, Florida.
We visited a super yummy ice cream shop in Brandon, Florida.  It's called the Revolution Ice Cream Shop.
Flat Stanley saw an alligator at the Florida Aquarium.
The pink bird is called a Roseatte Spoonbill.
Here's Flat Stanley by a famous Florida palm tree.
This was at Sharkey's Beach.  It's called Sharkey's Beach because you can find a lot of shark teeth here.  We looked but we didn't find any.
This was on the pier at Venice Beach, Florida.  A lot of people fish here.
This was at Sharkey's restaurant.  There is a giant waterfall with fake (but cool looking) sharks.  Can you see them?
This was at the Mac and Cheese Festival in Tampa, Florida at Curtis Hixon Park.  We tasted 10 different kinds of Mac and Cheese.  This one was our favorite.  It was called "pulled pork mac and cheese".

Lydia - Flat Stanley Visits Connecticut!

Dear Lydia and friends,

What an exciting trip I had while visiting Lydia's cousins in Beacon Falls, CT! Upon my arrival I was introduced to some of Payton and Cassidy's friends on their travel softball team. The team was Valley Fusion and they are a travel softball team that plays teams all over the state of Connecticut. They also play in tournaments and sometimes play teams from other states! I have a few pictures that I took with the team before a game and then after the game we went out to eat! I also went for a hike at Southford Falls State Park in Southford, CT. We saw some beautiful waterfalls while we were there! I visited Cassidy's school, Laurel Ledge Elementary School and had so much fun meeting Cassidy's classmates! I have a picture standing with Cassidy in the main courtyard of the school! And my favorite part of my trip was going to the beach! I went to Silver Sands State Park, which is located in Milford, CT. I got to play on the beach with Payton and Cassidy. I even got to lay in the sand. It was so much fun!

I will soon be returning back to your class! I have attached the pictures of my trip! See you soon!

Jenna - Flat Stanley Visits Texas!

Flat Stanley had a lot of fun visiting the great state of Texas!

Scarlett thought we should put boots and a cowboy hat on Flat Stanley!
Flat Stanley helped Aunt Pennie garden.  Can you see the snap peas in this picture?
Flat Stanley visited Aunt Pennie at work and helped her with two projects.  The first project is called Our Daily Bread.  Panera Bread gives us all of their leftover bread from the weekend and we bag it up on Monday mornings.  We send it out to food pantries to help feed the hungry.  It was a lot of fun to help with this wonderful project!
Flat Stanley also helped with a snack project that goes to help feed hungry kids.
Flat Stanley went to our City Hall.

Flat Stanley went to the Skeeters Ball Park and took a picture in front of the official team car!

Flat Stanley went to Houston with us for dinner.  He met my blind friend Jessica who sings at the restaurant.  Her voice is beautiful!
Flat Stanley visited the Imperial Sugar Factory.  It was so sweet!
