It's Stacy again...
While Flat Stanley was staying with us we went on Spring Break to Puerto Penasco, Mexico. Puerto Penasco is also known as Rocky Point. It is located about 4 hours south of Chandler, Arizona and is on the Sea of Cortez. The temperatures there are about the same as Tuscon, Arizona. They also get less than two inches of rain a year.
Puerto Penasco is a getaway destination for many people from the Phoenix and Tuscon areas, as well as California. It used to be a quiet fishing community, known for its shrimp, but it has now become more "touristy". There are many things to do while visiting Rocky Point, such as parasailing, banana boat rides, boat tours, jet ski rentals, kayaking, surf sailing, whale and dolphin watching, ATV rentals, walking on the beach, a lot of places to eat and shop, just to name a few.
I think Flat Stanley enjoyed his time in Mexico!

Of course I had to write Camryn's name in the sand! |
Still a little chilly, however the "non-paper" people did go out on a banana boat! |
Had my passport ready at the border... no problems getting back in to the United States! |
